How to create a virtual tour.
A 360° virtual tour needs neither expensive gear nor technical skills. With a little preparation and the right tool, you can capture, assemble, and publish a space in a few hours. This guide walks you through the whole process — from planning the walkthrough to a live tour you share with one link.
What you need.
- A 360° camera (or a recent phone for simpler spaces)
- A tripod for stable, level shots
- A tidy, well-lit space
- An Eyrion Studio account to assemble the tour
Seven steps to a live tour.
- 01
Plan the walkthrough
Decide which rooms and points you want to show and in what order. Picture leading a guest in person — from the entrance, through the main spaces, to the details that sell. A good plan saves time during capture and makes for a logical tour.
TipSketch the scene order before you pick up the camera.
- 02
Prepare the space
Clear the clutter, turn on the lights, and draw the curtains as needed. The space should look ready for its most important visit, because the tour stays online for months. Remove personal items and anything distracting.
TipShoot during the day when natural light is most even.
- 03
Capture the 360° photos
Put the camera on a tripod at eye level and capture each point where you want a full-circle view. Keep the same height across all scenes and make sure neighboring scenes overlap so transitions feel natural.
TipStep around a corner or out of frame while the camera shoots — that way you disappear from the panorama.
- 04
Upload the scenes into Studio
Sign in to Eyrion Studio and upload your captured 360° photos. Scenes are automatically prepared in multiple resolutions, so they load fast and stay sharp when zoomed.
- 05
Link scenes and add hotspots
Link the scenes into a coherent tour and place hotspots on the things you want to highlight — dimensions, features, views, links. Each hotspot can carry a description, an image, or a link to book.
TipDon't overdo hotspots — a few well-placed ones beat a pile of them.
- 06
Set a guided path and branding
Define a guided path that leads the visitor through the scenes in your chosen order, and add your logo, colors, and domain. The tour then looks like part of your site, not content on someone else's platform.
- 07
Publish and share
Publish the tour and share it with a single link — in a message, an email, a listing, or on social — or embed it on your site with one snippet. Visitors open it instantly, with no installs or accounts.
TipWatch the analytics and refine the scenes people skip.
A few tips from practice.
Light matters most
Even, natural light makes a space feel warmer and truer. Avoid harsh shadows and shooting at dusk when lighting differences are large.
Keep the camera height constant
Hold the camera at the same height across all scenes. A consistent angle gives pleasant transitions and a tour that feels professional.
Less is more
A few well-chosen scenes with clear hotspots sell better than dozens of similar views. Guide the visitor, don't overwhelm them.
